First Formal

Tuesday, December 20 - first of three Formal Evenings for this cruise.

We met a number of interesting people today. One stands out. Wendy is traveling with her 93-year-old father and her 33-year-old son. They are residents of Pollack Pines, in the Sierras. Wendy has been a writer and a bit of a schmooze in political circles. Interesting stories, whether truth or fiction.

Our first visit to the dining room this evening introduced us to several comfortable table partners. Charlotte and Harry were the stars for this seating, celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

True to form, I wanted us to pose for a portrait with our fancy-dress duds. True to form, Danny didn't. Back at the room, with our mirror, I managed a do-it-yourself moment that I'll have to settle for.
