Test of Character

Both gratitude and compassion are learned and developed parts of our
Faith experience. From gratitude, we would say, "There, but for the
Grace of God...." From compassion, we would say, "For the least of
these, my brethren...." But, that part which is our initial impulse when
viewing a scene such as this tellingly reveals our overall character.
